We’re getting ready to open the doors to Central Vet West, and we’re excited to become part of a new neighbourhood and welcome the people and pets who call it home.

To celebrate our opening, clients who book an appointment at Central Vet West before November 23, 2026 will be automatically entered for a chance to win one of two $500 Central Vet clinic credits.

It’s our way of saying thank you for welcoming us into the community, and for trusting us to be part of your animal’s care.

Contest Details: Open to legal residents of Manitoba who have reached the age of majority. Employees of Central Vet are not eligible. Contest closes November 22, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Eligible clients who book an appointment at Central Vet West by the contest closing time will automatically receive one (1) entry. No purchase is required to book an appointment or enter the contest. Limit one (1) entry per person. Two (2) prizes are available, each consisting of a $500 Central Vet clinic credit applied to the winner’s client account. Prizes are non-transferable, have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash. Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Selected entrants must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance to be declared a winner. If a selected entrant does not correctly answer the skill-testing question, an alternate entrant will be selected.

Parking

Plenty of convenient, free parking is available for all clients in the dedicated parking lot located at the front of the Central Vet West building.

Routine & wellness exams

Regular wellness exams help us get to know what’s normal for your pet and notice changes early. We take time to look at their overall health, lifestyle and individual needs, while answering your questions and helping you feel confident about the care decisions ahead. Preventive care is an important part of supporting healthier, happier, longer lives.

Vaccinations & preventative care

Preventive care looks a little different for every pet. We’ll work with you to build a vaccination and prevention plan based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, environment and individual risk factors. From vaccines and parasite prevention to routine screening, our goal is to give you clear information and practical guidance without a one-size-fits-all approach.

Surgical & dental care

Whether your pet needs a routine procedure or more advanced care, our team is here to guide you through each step. We offer spays and neuters, mass removals, dental cleanings and extractions, and emergency surgery. We’ll explain what to expect and work with you to support a safe, comfortable recovery.

Diagnostic testing & imaging

When something doesn’t seem quite right, the right diagnostic tools can help us understand what’s happening. We offer in-house laboratory testing, digital radiography, and ultrasound to help assess your pet’s health. We’ll explain what we find and discuss the next steps together, so you feel informed and supported throughout your pet’s care.

Nutritional & behaviour consulting

Nutrition and behaviour both play an important role in your pet’s overall wellbeing. Whether you have questions about weight, diet, anxiety, stress or changes in behaviour, our team can help you explore what may be contributing and what options are available. Together, we can create a practical plan that works for your pet and your family.

In-house pharmacy

Our in-house pharmacy makes it easier to access many of the medications and preventative products your pet may need. Our team is here to answer questions, explain how medications should be given and help make sure you feel comfortable with your pet’s treatment plan.

Urgent & after-hours care

Unexpected health concerns can be stressful, and you shouldn’t have to figure out the next step alone. We provide urgent and same-day care during regular clinic hours, including for pets who haven’t visited us before. Our clients also have access to 24/7 after-hours teletriage, providing veterinary guidance when concerns arise outside regular hours.
