Dr. David Snell
Dr. Snell's Bio
Dr. Snell is a mixed animal Veterinarian and Practice Co-Owner with his wife, Dr. Van Deynze. He attended the University of Alberta in the faculty of agriculture before attending the University of Saskatchewan, where he graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Dr. Snell practiced for several years in Sundre and Olds, Alberta, before coming to Central Veterinary Services in March 2012. Dr. Snell enjoys making farm calls and has special interests in dairy cattle management and reproduction, equine dentistry, lameness, and reproduction.
In his spare time, he likes to spend with family. Dr. Snell has three wonderful kids named Samantha, Rachel, and Nicolas. He enjoys playing competitive sports such as hockey in the winter and adventure racing in the summer. At home, Dave has a yellow lab named Eva and a cat named Sarah.

Dr. Stephanie Van Deynze-Snell
Dr. Van Deynze-Snell's Bio
Dr. Van Deynze is a mixed animal Veterinarian and Practice Co-Owner with her husband, Dr. Snell. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2007 (with an honours degree in biochemistry) and from the University of Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She practiced briefly in Sundre and Olds, Alberta, before returning to Central Veterinary Services in March 2012. Dr. Van Deynze greatly enjoys connecting with clients and their animals every day.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, Samantha, Rachel, and Nicolas, and in her garden. Dr. Van Deynze grew up near Holland, Manitoba, and after living in Saskatchewan and Alberta, she is happy to be back in friendly Manitoba.

Dr. Samyra Stuart-Altman
Dr. Stuart-Altman's Bio
Dr. Stuart-Altman is a mixed animal Veterinarian and Practice Co-Owner. She pursued her undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Winnipeg until 2008 and then graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She was honoured with the MVMA Veterinarian of the Year Award in 2017.
Dr. Stuart-Altman enjoys all aspects of practice, especially the areas of internal medicine, wellness, surgery, and diagnostic imaging. She has extensive experience in the realm of ultrasonography and thoroughly enjoys exercising her skills for both in-house and referral abdominal ultrasound exams. Dr. Stuart-Altman is also a member of the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medical Association (ISDVMA) and has volunteered as a Trail Veterinarian for many distance races. Her work with sled dogs has taken her as far north as Churchill, Manitoba, and the wilderness of Montana.
Dr. Stuart-Altman is also passionate about animal welfare and the human-animal bond. As such, she volunteers for remote spay/neuter clinics with Save A Dog Network and Isla Animals. She has participated in multiple feline spay/neuter clinics locally with C.A.R.E and One Health centred clinics with Community Veterinary Outreach. She is a board member of the Winnipeg Humane Society and the MVMA’s representative to Winnipeg Animal Services.
Other than veterinary medicine, Dr. Stuart-Altman’s interests include creating custom pet portraits with her modest local business “Ink Naturally,” travelling and enjoying live music. She also finds time to spend with her husband and her two cats: a troublemaker named Tucker and her three-legged cat named Pearl. Dr. Stuart-Altman was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Dr. Jennifer White
Dr. White's Bio
Dr. White is a small animal Veterinarian. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. White completed a small animal clinical internship at the Atlantic College of Veterinary Medicine in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, in the following year. She joined Central Veterinary Services in the fall of 2007.
Dr. White has professional interests in preventative medicine and dermatology. Overall, she is happiest tending to the small animals that come through our doors, extending her compassion and care to every patient she sees.
In her time away from work, she enjoys cooking for her little girl, Natalie, going for walks with her German Shepherd named Larry, as well as dabbling in photography. Dr. White was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Dr. Ken Johnson
Dr. Johnson's Bio
Dr. Johnson is a mixed animal Veterinarian. He graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 1978 and has worked as a Full-Time Veterinarian in the Winnipeg area ever since.
Dr. Johnson and his wife, Elaine, founded Central Veterinary Services in 1981. In 1999, Dr. Johnson was honoured as the recipient of a Veterinarian of the Year Award from the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association. He is past president of the Western Canadian Equine Association, a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (having completed a three-year term on the dentistry committee), American Association of Bovine Practitioners, American Endurance Riders Conference, and Veterinarian for the Morris Stampede.
Over the years, Dr. Johnson has also found time to take an active role in mentoring hundreds of students in their pursuit of careers in veterinary medicine. When Dr. Johnson is not working, he likes visiting with his friends and family and enjoying time at the lake. Dr. Johnson was born and raised near Domain, Manitoba.

Dr. Mackenzie Marks
Dr. Marks' Bio
Dr. Marks is a mixed animal Veterinarian. He attended the University of Manitoba in the faculty of agriculture before attending the University of Saskatchewan, where he graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After graduation, he practiced in Arborg and Gimli, Manitoba, before coming to Central Veterinary Services in February 2016. Dr. Marks enjoys making farm calls and has a professional interest in small and large animal surgeries.
When he is not working, Dr. Marks enjoys making music, doing leatherwork, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Sheena (often on horseback). He also finds time to spend with his dogs, Remington, Benelli & Tortilla, and a feline friend named Ella. Dr. Marks grew up in Arnes, Manitoba.

Dr. Kristen Wilson
Dr. Wilson's Bio
Dr. Wilson is a mixed animal Veterinarian. You may recognize Dr. Wilson, as she previously worked for us as a registered veterinary technologist from 2012 to 2014. After enjoying a few years in that position, Dr. Wilson decided to continue her undergraduate studies at the University of Winnipeg. She then graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine, in 2018.
Dr. Wilson joined our team again during Spring 2018, and we are happy to have her here with us once again! Dr. Wilson enjoys all aspects of mixed animal practice but has additional training in ultrasonography. She completed her Small Animal Abdominal & Cardiac Ultrasound Certification in 2011 and truly enjoys using her skills for our patients and referrals from other veterinary clinics. Dr. Wilson pursued a career in veterinary medicine because she loves working with various animals and improving their health/performance.
When not working, Dr. Wilson enjoys getting outside to go horseback riding, tend to her chickens and work around her beautiful acreage. She also finds time to spend with her cats, 2 dogs, 2 horses, chickens, ducks, guineas, and bees! Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Dr. Heidi Bjornson
Dr. Bjornson's Bio
Dr. Bjornson is a mixed animal Veterinarian. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Though, her interest in veterinary medicine started long before that. Dr. Bjornson volunteered with us for some time before working her way into a Reception/Hospital Assistant position. This keen experience prepared her for a gruelling four years in veterinary school.
Dr. Bjornson started as a Veterinarian with us in May 2019, and we sure are happy to have her back! Her favourite aspect of being a Veterinarian is helping sick or injured animals that walk through our doors. Dr. Bjornson pursued this career to do her best to ensure patients leave the clinic better than when they entered. In 2020, Dr. Bjornson began studying acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Florida. She has really enjoyed this alternative method of treating animals to add to our efforts to help animals heal and feel better.
In her time away from work, she enjoys horseback riding, playing baseball, and spending time with her two young nieces. Dr. Bjornson was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba but now resides near Anola, Manitoba.

Dr. Jenna Noordenbos
Dr. Noordenbos' Bio
Dr. Noordenbos is a mixed animal Veterinarian. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Dr. Noordenbos started as a Veterinarian with us in May 2020!
Currently, she is enjoying all aspects of being a Veterinarian because it’s all so new and exciting. She enjoys helping clients keep their pets healthy and working with pets when they are not at their best. Her interests include equine medicine and rehabilitation, along with companion animal (dog and cat) surgery.
Dr. Noordenbos enjoys hiking, camping, biking, baking/cooking, playing musical instruments, and crafting when she is not working. She truly enjoys being creative and spending time with her Husky cross named Nala. Dr. Noordenbos was born and raised in Ashern, Manitoba, but now resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Dr. Carly Duncan
Dr. Duncan's Bio
Dr. Duncan received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. She has also received her Fear Free certification. Dr. Duncan enjoys all of the variety that veterinary medicine has to offer. She loves preventative medicine to senior care, and everything in between. Also, Dr. Duncan enjoys building relationships with both family and patients.
When she is not working, Dr. Duncan likes to spend time with friends/family and being outdoors or at her cabin as much as she can. She has three dogs, Border Collie X Lahela, Macy, and Ricky. All three of her dogs were are from Manitoba Underdogs Rescue. Dr. Duncan is from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Shai Wood
Shai's Bio
Shai is one of our Registered Veterinary Technologists and has been working with us since the fall of 2014 after graduating from Red River College with a diploma in Animal Health Technology. Shai always knew she wanted to be within a mixed animal practice to work with all sizes of animals and to do something new and exciting each and every day. Shai has particular interests in bovine surgery, small animal phlebotomy, and emergency services. Shai loves to continue to challenge herself with new things, so she took on our Director of Medical Services role in 2017. Shai is often found within her office, running numbers, coordinating community medical events, and ensuring that day-to-day activities run smoothly!
When not at work, you can find Shai fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, canoeing, hiking, or doing any outdoor activities with her herd of dogs at home. Shai has a mischievous Mastiff named Scarlett, a high-energy Rottweiler named Kilo, and an antisocial Siamese named Arlo. Shai was born and raised in Headingley, Manitoba, and has since moved to St. Francois Xavier, Manitoba.

Amanda Hebert
Amanda's Bio
Amanda is one of our Registered Veterinary Technologists. She joined our practice in the spring of 2015 after graduating from Red River College with a diploma in Animal Health Technology. Amanda volunteered many Saturdays with us before going to school to become an RVT. She came back to Central Veterinary Services for the opportunity to work with a variety of animals.
Amanda enjoys ensuring our veterinary practice is always portrayed positively. That is part of what makes her our director of public contact. Amanda will most times be the face you see at our community events, and since she’s such a great planner, she also plans and executes our annual open house event and staff holiday parties.
When not at work, Amanda likes spending time outdoors tending to her yard/garden. She also enjoys spending time with her red Labrador Retriever named Dex and her Golden Retriever named Dawson. She was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, but now resides in Sainte Genevieve, Manitoba.

Callie Hilton
Callie's Bio
Callie has been working with us since the summer of 2016 and is a graduate of the Red River College Animal Health Technology program. Callie came to join the Central Veterinary Services team for her love of both large and small animals.
When not at work, you can find Callie at the barn riding her horse, Carmen, or competing competitively in show jumping. Along with riding, Callie spends a lot of time staying active, like running & baseball. She has another horse named Pandora and two cats named Ozzy & Connie (AKA Princess Consuela). Callie was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Courtney Smith

In her spare time, you can find Courtney going kayaking. She also loves going to the archery range and staying active! Courtney has a few pets of her own. Currently, she has a border collie cross named Willow. Courtney is originally from Rorketon, Manitoba.

Carly Dreger
Carly's Bio
In her spare time, you can find Carly spending as much time outdoors as she can. She enjoys gardening, horseback riding, and getting her dog out for a bike ride. Carly has a cat named Belinda, who runs her life. She also has a Pyrenees mix named Pearl, a flock of chickens, and a Percheron named Lucky-Lou. Carly was born and raised in South St. Vital but recently moved away from the city and onto some land in Woodlands, Manitoba.

Nikki Beaton

You can find Nikki enjoying escape rooms, video games, horseback riding (trail), creating paracord collars, leashes, halters, and more for her business, Knotsense, and fostering animals in her spare time. Nikki has a dog named Lucy, two cats named Morty and Odin, and a horse named Zariyah. Nikki was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

When not at work, Carla enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering with Manitoba Underdogs, and spending time outdoors! At home, Carla has a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever Mix named Hunter, a German Shorthaired Pointer named Harper, and three cats named Truffles, Ruby & Martin. Carla was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Nadine Carreiro

Nadine became a Hospital Assistant with us in May 2018. She has since graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Red River College in spring 2021. Since joining our team, she has gained crucial knowledge to further her career in veterinary medicine. Nadine deeply cares about all animals and how they are cared for in our hospital. While at work Nadine enjoys being around large and small animals and contributing to their well-being.
Nadine spends her time at the park with her dog and studying for school when not at work. At home, Nadine has a Mastiff Mix named Mayo. Nadine was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Erynne Danard
Erynne's Bio
Erynne received her diploma with honours after completing the Veterinary Technology program at Red River College in 2015. She became a Registered Veterinary Technologist with us in April 2021. While at work, Erynne enjoys working with a wide variety of species and applying fear-free techniques. She also loves working with senior pets!
Erynne spends her spare time playing hockey, fishing, running, and reading a good mystery novel. At home, she is kept company by her Boxer cross, Rocco, who is her best buddy! Erynne is originally from Riverton, MB and now resides in Beausejour, MB.

Stephanie Guenette

When Stephanie is not at work, she likes to spend time outdoors, hiking with her dogs, camping, fishing, and enjoying the sunshine. She has a beautiful mix-breed mutt named Mya and two handsome Golden Retrievers named Nixon and Finnegan.

Ada Pinho
Ada 's Bio
In her spare time, Ada fosters kittens, volunteers for the CARE Outreach Program, reads, grows plants, plays video games, and rides her motorcycle. She has multiple kitties at home and has a soft spot for Siamese and cats with hypoplasia (her youngest cat is a wobbly lilac point!). Ada has lived in multiple locations across Canada but decided to move to and work in Winnipeg after finishing her externship at the Assiniboine zoo.

Breanne Bordush
Breanne's Bio
Breanne (better know as Bre) works behind the scenes in our treatment area with the rest of the veterinary team. She joined our team in September 2018. Before starting with us, Bre completed her high school diploma. Her favourite aspect of the job is large animal medicine and surgeries.
When she’s away from the clinic, she completes ranch work and volunteers at large animal rescues. Bre enjoys horseback riding, fishing, quadding and hiking. She is kept company by her fur baby named Meekah. Bre grew up in Hazelridge, Manitoba and now resides near Richer, Manitoba.

Tessa Wilderman
Tessa's Bio
Tessa has been a Hospital Assistant with us since September 2019. Before joining us, Tessa obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in psychology. While at work, Tessa enjoys interacting with the variety of animals that we see through the clinic, big and small. She is often seen snapping pictures of our patients for our social media pages, which along with her background in event work, is what drew her to the role of Marketing Coordinator.
When not at work, Tessa spends her time riding her horse Frank and coaching equestrian lessons. At home, she has an Italian Greyhound named Joey and Siamese cross named Orchid. She enjoys spending time travelling, camping, and being outdoors. Tessa was raised in Howden, Manitoba and now lives in Winnipeg.

Allison Shaw
Allison's Bio
Allison works behind the scenes in our treatment area with the rest of the veterinary team. She became a Hospital Assistant at Central Veterinary Services in June 2019. Her favourite aspect of being a hospital assistant is interacting with the animals and learning as much as possible.
In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding and show jumping. At home, Allison has four horses, two cats and three dogs. Allison was born and raised in La Salle, Manitoba.

Kayla Toback

Kayla joined our team in November 2019 after completing her Veterinary Office Assistant Diploma program at Robertson College. Kayla’s favourite aspect of her job is meeting all of our wonderful patients. Kayla started off with us as a veterinary Receptionist and has now started working in the behind-the-scenes team as a Hospital Assistant.
In her spare time, Kayla enjoys camping and fishing. When home, she’s kept company by her cat named Sonny. Kayla is originally from Winnipeg but has since made her hometown Stonewall, Manitoba.

Majenta Mason
Majenta's Bio
Majenta is a Hospital Assistant on our team at Central Veterinary Services. She joined our team in November 2020. Before becoming a team member, Majenta attended Robertson College to gain more knowledge to become a veterinary office assistant. Her favourite aspect of veterinary medicine is all the hands-on work she gets to do with the animals.
When she is not working, Majenta enjoys snowmobiling and horseback riding. She has three dogs and two cats at home. Majenta is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Tasha Reimer
Tasha's Bio
Tasha is a Hospital Assistant that works on our team at Central Veterinary Services. She joined the team in June 2021 and is currently taking her undergraduate program at the U of W while she prepares to apply for her pre-vet program. Her favourite aspects of the job are surgery, learning as much as she can, and the great co-workers!
Outside of work, Tasha is often spending time outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends. At home, she has 2 dogs, a Shih Tzu named Tucker and a Terrier named Daisy.

Jonathon Morton
Jonathon's Bio
Jonathon works behind the scenes in our treatment area with the rest of the veterinary team. He was a long-term volunteer here at Central Veterinary Services since October 2019 and became an official Hospital Assistant in October 2020. His favourite aspect of the job is learning different treatment options for numerous ailments from the veterinarians.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching films and television shows. He is also a great cook and loves to bake. At home, Jonathon has a Shepherd/Husky named Zoie. Jonathon was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Danielle Courchane
Danielle's Bio
Danielle is a Hospital Assistant on our team at Central Veterinary Services. She has been with the team since February of 2022. Her favourite aspect of the job is seeing the love of helping animals in the industry. When Danielle is not at work, she keeps busy by paddle boarding, walking, crafting, kayaking or cycling. At home, Danielle has a Bulldog/Boxer/Chihuahua cross and a Domestic Shorthaired cat.
Danielle was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Sally Dickinson
Sally's Bio
Sally is our Director of Finance. She joined the Central Veterinary Services team in March 2013, bringing with her over 20 years of experience in finance, operations and customer service.
Sally is found behind the scenes overseeing payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and IT. She ensures things are running as smoothly as possible!
In her spare time, Sally enjoys spending time with her two cats and her family/friends.

Jennifer Adams
Jennifer's Bio
Her favourite things about working at Central Veterinary Services are meeting new people and their pets, working with the lively, enthusiastic group of people who deliver the utmost in veterinary care and learning the “behind the scenes” runnings of the clinic. She has been a great addition to our finance department.
In Jennifer’s spare time, she likes to spend time with her family and do volunteer work with her local rescue. She has a Yorkshire Terrier named Daisy Mae and a Pomeranian named Emma Leigh. Jennifer resides nearby in Sanford, Manitoba, with her husband and son.

Courtney Hudson
Courtney's Bio
Courtney works behind the scenes ensuring things run smoothly with our clinic stock & special orders as our Inventory Manager. She began as a Hospital Assistant at Central Veterinary Services in October 2016. Courtney’s favourite aspect of her job is equine diagnostic imaging.
When not at work, Courtney enjoys spending time horseback riding. Courtney lives with her Shih Tzu named Pepper and doodle named Buck. One of her goals is to own a property where she can have her own horses! She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and now lives in Ste. Anne, MB.

Laurena Van De Velde
Laurena's Bio
Laurena is our Director of Administration. She brings over 15 years of experience in agricultural-based product marketing, communications, market research, strategic planning, and management of people and processes in organizations.
Laurena attended the University of Manitoba, where she received her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in marketing and international Business. She joined the Central Veterinary Services team in September 2020 and looks forward to ensuring our people and processes are organized in a way that ensures the highest quality of veterinary medicine is delivered to our clients.
In her leisure time, Laurena enjoys spending time at the lake with her husband, two children and their puppy, Charlie. Laurena was raised on a purebred cattle and grain farm in Mariapolis, Manitoba, but now resides in Sanford, Manitoba.

Amanda Phelan
Amanda's Bio
As a Receptionist, Amanda is one of the friendly faces or voices you will first encounter upon visiting or calling Central Veterinary Services. She joined the team in 2008 as a Receptionist. After a short leave after the birth of her son and now her daughter, she has returned. Amanda excels at multitasking and has obtained certificates from both MediCal and Hill’s, expanding her knowledge to better assist our clients. Since arriving at Central Veterinary Services, Amanda has enjoyed learning about large animal medicine, which she knew very little about before.
When not at work, Amanda stays very busy with her kids, involving them in many activities. She enjoys downtime with her kids/husband and going for walks. Amanda has a male orange tabby cat named Duece and a golden retriever named Gus. Amanda is originally from Calgary, Alberta.

Ana Yegorova
Ana's Bio
Ana is one of the friendly faces you will see first when coming in for a visit or the cheerful voice when making a call. Ana started joined our team at Central Veterinary Services in May 2013 as a Hospital Assistant, splitting her time between reception and helping around the clinic. Her favourite part of the job is meeting our great clients and their pets, working with the rest of our staff, trips out to the farm, and, of course, puppy cuddles! Ana enjoys learning new things and being active.
When not at work Ana enjoys hiking, fishing, and horseback riding. Ana owns a thoroughbred named Hesitate and a German Shorthaired Pointer Mix named Russell. Ana was born in Ukraine and is multilingual.

Tiffany Newton
Tiffany's Bio
Tiffany joined our team in December 2018 after completing her practicum placement for the Veterinary Office Assistant Diploma program at Robertson College. Tiffany’s favourite aspect of her job as one of our full-time Receptionists is meeting all of our wonderful clients and being a part of the team that supports their pet’s care.
In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys supporting her daughter and her cheer club. Along with that, she grew up showing horses (hunters/jumpers), and although she does not ride anymore, this is still one of her passions. Tiffany is kept company by her young standard Poodle named Maui. Tiffany is originally from Winnipeg but has since made her hometown La Salle, Manitoba.

Taylor Cougnon
Taylor's Bio
As a Receptionist, Taylor is one of the friendly faces or voices you will first encounter upon visiting or calling Central Veterinary Services. She joined our team in November 2019. Taylor recently completed her Veterinary Office Assistant Diploma at Robertson College. Her favorite aspect of being a receptionist is greeting and meeting all of the new people and animals we see here at Central Veterinary Services.
When she’s away from the clinic, Taylor enjoys going to the gym and watching movies. She has a Boxer named Floyd. Taylor was born and raised in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Shanna Bilinski
Shanna's Bio
Shanna joined the Central Veterinary Services team as a Receptionist in June 2021 after graduating with honors from the Robertson College Veterinary Office Assistant Program. Her favourite aspects of the job include learning something new every day and seeing the bond between people and their pets when they come into the clinic.
Growing up, Shanna spent a lot of time running around her grandparents’ farm. She enjoys playing sports such as soccer, volleyball, and baseball, as well as going fishing! At home, Shanna has a 10-year-old Shepard cross from the WHS, named Wagner, and a 1-year-old DSH cat, named Zuma, that was rescued from a farm where she was found all alone at 3-weeks old.
