Laurena Van De Velde

Laurena is our Director of Administration. She brings over 15 years of experience in agricultural-based product marketing, communications, market research, strategic planning, and management of people and processes in organizations. Laurena attended the University of Manitoba where she received her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Marketing and International Business. She joined the Central Vet team in September of 2020 and looks forward to ensuring our people and processes are organized in a way that ensures the highest quality of veterinary medicine is delivered to our clients. In her leisure time, Laurena enjoys spending time at the lake with her husband, two children and their puppy, Charlie. Laurena was raised on a purebred cattle and grain farm in Mariapolis, Manitoba, but now resides in Sanford.

Sally Dickinson

Sally is our Office Manager. She is most often found behind the scenes ensuring things are running as smooth as possible! Occasionally, she can also be found answering phones, checking in patients, or wherever she is needed to help our clients and patients. When starting in March of 2013 Sally brought with her over 20 years of experience in finance, operations, and customer service. Sally is hardworking, organized, and has been an incredible addition to our team. Sally has enjoyed getting to know our clients and learn more about the veterinary profession, she has even acquired two cats named Salem and Jackson since working with us. When not at work Sally enjoys travelling to hot destinations and spending time with friends and family — her husband and 2 sons. Sally was born and raised in Winnipeg. 

 

Reception

Amanda Phelan

As a receptionist, Amanda is one of the friendly faces or voices you will first encounter upon visiting or calling Central Veterinary Services. She joined the team in 2008 as a receptionist, and after a short leave after the birth of her son, and now her daughter, has returned. Amanda excels at multitasking and has obtained certificates from both MediCal and Hill’s, expanding her knowledge to better assist our clients. Since arriving at CVS, Amanda has enjoyed learning about large animal medicine, which was something she knew very little about before starting. When not at work, Amanda stays very busy with her kids, involving them in many activities. She enjoys down time with her kids and husband, and going for walks. Amanda has male orange tabby cat named Duece, and a golden retriever named Gus. Amanda is originally from Calgary Alberta.

 

Ana Yegorova

Ana is one of the friendly faces you will first see when coming in for a visit or the cheerful voice when making a call. Ana started at Central in May of 2013 as a hospital assistant, splitting her time between reception and helping around the clinic. Her favorite part of the job is meeting our great clients and their pets, working with the rest of our staff, trips out to the farm, and, of course, puppy cuddles! Ana enjoys learning new things and being active. When not at work Ana enjoys hiking, fishing, and horseback riding. Ana owns a thoroughbred named Hesitate, and a German Shorthaired Pointer Mix named Russell. Ana was born in the Ukraine, and is multilingual.

 

Lindsey Hayes

Lindsey joined our team in September 2017 after completing her Veterinary Office Assistant Diploma at Robertson College! Her smiling face is a welcomed addition to our team! When at work Lindsey enjoys meeting all the amazing clients and animals that come into the clinic. In Lindsey’s spare time she enjoys hosting BBQ’s and bonfires in her backyard, watching the Winnipeg Jets play, and spending time with friends and family. She has a dog named Kona and a cat named Felix. Lindsey was born in Winnipeg, but was raised in Kenora, ON. Although Lindsey still loves spending time in Kenora, ON she now resides in Winnipeg, MB once again. 

 

Jennifer Adams

As a receptionist, Jennifer is one of the friendly faces or voices you will first encounter upon visiting or calling Central Veterinary Services. Before joining our team in August 2017, Jennifer spent 34 years  teaching in the public education system. Her favourite things about working at Central is meeting new people and their pets, and working with an upbeat, enthusiastic group of people who all are working towards the same goal – animal health. In Jennifer’s spare time she likes to spend time with her family, and do volunteer work for local rescues. She has a yorkshire terrier named Daisy and a pomeranian named Callie. Jennifer now resides nearby in Sanford, MB with her husband, son and stepdaughter. 

Tiffany Newton

Tiffany joined our team in December 2018 after completing her practicum placement for the Veterinary Office Assistant Diploma program at Robertson College. Tiffany’s favourite aspect of her job as one of our full-time receptionists is meeting all of our wonderful clients and being a part of the team that supports their pets care. In her spare time Tiffany enjoys supporting her daughter and her cheer club. Along with that, she grew up showing horses (hunters/jumpers) and although she does not ride anymore this is still one of her passions. She’s kept company by her young standard poodle named Maui. Tiffany is originally from Winnipeg, but has since made her home town La Salle, MB.

Kayla Toback

Kayla joined our team in November 2019 after completing her Veterinary Office Assistant Diploma program at Robertson College. Kayla’s favourite aspect of her job as one of our full-time receptionists is meeting all of our wonderful patients. In her spare time Kayla enjoys camping and fishing. When home, she’s kept company by her cat named Sonny. Kayla is originally from Winnipeg, but has since made her home town Stonewall, MB.

Taylor Cougnon

As a receptionist, Taylor is one of the friendly faces or voices you will first encounter upon visiting or calling Central Veterinary Services. She joined our team in November 2019. She recently completed her Veterinary Office Assistant Diploma at Robertson College. Her favourite aspect of being a receptionist is greeting and meeting all of the new people and animals we see here at Central Veterinary Services. When she’s away from the clinic she enjoys going to the gym and watching movies. She has a Boxer named Floyd. Taylor was born and raised in Steinbach, MB.
